Books belong on that list, too, and it's hard to beat the Friends of the Texarkana Public Library's shop as a place to find some worth keeping. I've rarely left the shop without a book I felt lucky to happen across, and truly affordable prices mean it's usually a stack of four or five. The hunt is part of the fun, especially since donations continually add books to the inventory.
