Alejandro Mendoza, 35, of Texarkana, Arkansas, is charged with one count of engaging a child in sexually explicit conduct and three counts of electronic facilitation of child sexual abuse, according to court records. Charges were filed Nov. 18. Mendoza is represented by attorney George Morledge IV, according to court records. A former volunteer coach, Mendoza faces more than 20 felony charges, including rape, indecency with a child by exposure, sexual grooming of a child, internet stalking of a child and multiple counts of engaging children in sexually explicit conduct, according to court records. Tchaikovsky, with choreography by CBT member teachers and directors, and with new costumes and scenery, the 2025 "Nutcracker" continues the holiday tradition of CBT presentations of classical ballets. Company auditions were held in August, with dancers ages 8 to 18 cast in the performances. The project includes the construction of concrete sidewalks along College Drive from Robison Road to U.S. Highway 71, a length of 2.2 miles, according to a news release from TxDOT. "This project will expand an existing sidewalk network and include pedestrian crossing signals and ramps," said Tommy Bruce, TxDOT's Texarkana Area engineer. "Sidewalks provide safer access for pedestrians to get to work, school and other destinations." The project makes use of federal funds largely from the Transportation Alternatives program, with a small amount from the Safe Routes to School program.
